If you're the type who wants it all, don't settle for anything less than this complete vacation through southcentral Alaska to Fairbanks just 200 miles south of the Arctic Circle and Alaska's "Golden Heart" city. With additional Holland America adventures and optional excursions throughout your trip, your time in Alaska will be time well spent.

Day 1: Seward
After arriving in Seward, you'll be transferred to your day-boat for your unforgettable Kenai Fjords National Park cruise. This is a place you have to see to believe with towering cliffs, thundering waterfalls and wildlife galore. And you'll have an overnight in Seward to explore the town and take in the views of gorgeous Resurrection Bay.

Day 2: Seward – Anchorage
Before departing Seward, you'll have time on your own for further exploration including an optional tour of the Alaska SeaLife Center, the northern hemisphere's only coldwater research facility and the home of Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and a variety of seabirds.
Then depart Seward by motor coach and sightsee along the Seward Highway, a National Forest Scenic Byway that has been voted one of the Top Ten Most Scenic Drives in America by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. The journey takes you through the lovely Kenai Peninsula passing Turnagain Arm on the way to Anchorage.
Tonight, you'll enjoy dinner and entertainment at the Sourdough Mining Company.

Day 3: Anchorage – Talkeetna
Enjoy your scenic journey to Talkeetna aboard the deluxe domed railcars of the McKinley Explorer . You'll have time this afternoon for optional Talkeetna activities most of which feature the best views of Mt. McKinley in the Denali region, weather permitting. And the town itself, a National Historic Site, is worth the time to poke into the shops and visit a tavern where colorful locals blend with mountaineers discussing their Mt. McKinley ascent.

Day 4: Talkeetna – Denali

Continue your travels to Denali National Park aboard our luxurious railcars of the McKinley Explorer watching for views of Mt. McKinley all along the way. Upon arrival at Denali National Park, get settled in then take note of our wide array optional Denali excursions and Park-sponsored activities. You'll have time to go river-rafting, horseback riding or flightseeing or to take in the Park's dog sled camp.

Day 5: Denali – Fairbanks
This morning, get a deeper understanding of one of North America's most remarkable national parks on the famous Tundra Wilderness Tour of the taiga forest and expansive rolling tundra. You'll marvel at Denali's awesome beauty, and hear colorful stories about the area's cultural and geological history.
This afternoon, re-board the McKinley Explorer to your final destination: Fairbanks.

Day 6: Fairbanks
You'll tour the city and the surrounding areas including the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Visit Gold Dredge No. 8 where you'll have an opportunity to pan for gold and enjoy a hearty miner's lunch. Optional Fairbanks activities offer a wide range of travel opportunities. You can fly north of the Arctic Circle or visit attractions in and around town.

For the perfect evening, you may visit the Ester Gold Camp for a buffet dinner and entertainment at the Malemute Saloon.

Day 7: Fairbanks
We'll transport you to the airport and say goodbye until next time.
