South on the Icefields Parkway.
Come upon the Athabasca Glacier, part of one of the largest Icefields in the
World (Columbia Icefields). The fields are so massive that the entire
population of North America could stand on them at the same time. Learn
how they are grinding rocks and what effect the rock flour has on the lakes
below.
Admire the peak that is a triple continental divide. This is the only spot
in the world that feeds three rivers that flow to three different oceans
(Arctic, Atlantic and Pacific).

Our
massive Sno-Coaches will ferry us to the base of Athabasca Glacier. Bring
your sunglasses as the bright white of this area is intense. Look at the
blue ice of the ice formed during the last ice age.

The massive ice formation is slowly slipping downhill
while at the same time receding as it melts. Your guide on the Sno-Coach will fill you in on the fascinating story of this
phenomenon and the other stories that make this area so interesting.
