Day 1 Monday or Thursday or Saturday Pick up your rental vehicle and head west from Calgary. Pass through the rolling foothills which give way to towering mountains in a short time. Enter Banff National Park, Canada's first park and continue on the Bow Valley Expressway past Fortress Mountain to Lake Louise. Overnight at one of the most picturesque locations anywhere, Chateau Lake Louise or one of our hotels in Banff,

Day 2 The area around LAKE LOUISE offers more opportunities for great sightseeing than you could see in a month. Favorites include MORAINE LAKE, Yoho National Park to the west with its towering Takakkaw Waterfalls, the Icefields Parkway to ATHABASCA GLACIER, JOHNSTON CANYON drive and trail walk etc. Overnight Banff area.

Day 3 Today we recommend the short drive to BANFF TOWN. Ride the BANFF GONDOLA to lofty heights above the town and enjoy the miles of Alpine views. Stroll the boardwalk to a nearby mountain for even more views. Perhaps soak yourself in the Banff Upper Hotsprings and let the curative waters and fresh mountain air rejuvenate you. Check out the many fine dining options and check into your Banff Hotel for the night. You will sleep very well tonight. Not fare out of town are LAKE MINNEWANKA and VERMILION LAKES.

Day 4 Drop your rental vehicle at the Banff Railway Station in the morning and board the famous Rocky Mountaineer, westbound. Travel through the Kicking Horse Pass and the famous Spiral Tunnels built by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. Continue over Roger's Pass, cross the continental divide and begin the downhill run towards the interior of British Columbia. Many of the scenic vistas can only be seen from this train. Arrive in Kamloops and we transfer you to your hotel. Perhaps enjoy the Two River Junction Dinner here this evening.

Day 5 We transfer you to the train station for your departure once more on the Rocky Mountaineer. Follow the Thompson and Fraser Rivers, passing famous Hell's Gate where the waters thrash through a narrow gorge. Pass pastures, cranberry farms and forests into the metropolis of VANCOUVER. Vancouver was voted number one destination in North America to visit by the American Business Association! Arrive near supper time and we conclude services

OR you may choose to extend your stay and visit Vancouver and the largest island in North America, mighty Vancouver Island. Those extending their stay can go whale watching, see BUTCHART GARDENS and the city of VICTORIA on Vancouver Island or travel up to WHISTLER Resort area (North of Vancouver).
