CRUISE INFORMATION  |  BACK TO PORTS OF CALL  |  CABINS  |  CRUISE SHIPS  |  ALASKA LAND TOURS

The striking peaks of the Chilkat Range look down upon the town of Haines.  It is distinctive in that it is one of the few Alaska Panhandle towns accessible by road, air and sea.  The town started as a mission in 1881.  The town prospered during the gold rush as it was the head of the Dalton Trail.

Visit the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center.  South of town is the first army post in Alaska, named after William Seward which hasn't changed much in the last 100 years.
