A little hidden secret south of Jasper makes for a wonderful outing. Steep
colorful cliffs, a beautiful blue-green lake in the shape of a horsehoe and a
lack of crowds of tourists make this a real delight. Hike the tongue of land
surrounded by the lake with its boulders and rockpiles strewn about. Local high
school kids can occasionally be seen jumping from the cliffs opposite, into the
cool mountain water. This is one of the most perfect getaways one could imagine
in the Canadian Rockies.
