Day 4  We leave Halifax this morning and travel to Springhill, home of Canadian singing star, Anne Murray. Here we visit the Anne Murray Museum. Next we stop at the incredible Hopewell Cape where we have the opportunity to walk on the ocean floor at low tide (subject to tide conditions). We spend the night in Moncton. (B)

Day 5  After a leisurely included breakfast we prepare ourselves for a day of interesting and educational demonstrations. We start by visiting the mysterious “Magnetic Hill” in Moncton. Afterwards a short drive brings us to the fishing community of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. Here we take pleasure in watching a demonstration of traditional soap making. Later on this morning we arrive in Shediac Bay where we board the town’s famous Lobstering Cruise. Learn how to fish, cook, and crack your own lobster from the best during this intriguing experience. We enjoy an included lobster lunch on board with fellow passengers. In the mid afternoon we proceed to Prince Edward Island, crossing the 13 km Confederation Bridge. We stop and take time for pictures on this Canadian landmark. We continue on to Summerside where we spend the next 2 nights. (B) (L)

Day 6  Prepare for a full day of adventure, sightseeing and fun. We are treated this morning to a locally guided tour of Charlottetown. We tour the Province House, churches, Victorian homes, the Confederation Centre and more. After lunch, we stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company on our way to Anne of Green Gables Home and the sand dunes at Cavendish Beach. We return to our waterfront hotel for the night. (B)

Day 7
Enjoy a beautiful and scenic ferry ride this morning from Woods Island, PEI to Caribou, NS. Our leisurely drive east across the Strait of Canso brings us into Cape Breton, the island of the hearty and independent Scots, the original European settlers of this historic island that also is rich in French heritage. Enjoy the most dramatic and scenic views of the cliffs and moors as we travel to Baddeck for a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Here is where Mr. Bell conceived and tested some of his spectacular inventions! Our short journey continues on to our hotel in Sydney. Relax and enjoy some free time using the amenities of our hotel for the next 3 nights. (B)

Day 8
We get started for our full day scenic adventure on Cabot Trail, named after the famous explorer who first sighted the island in 1497. Watch as we pass the meandering glens, rugged coastlines, white gypsum bluffs and the always-pounding surf. We make some photo stops enroute to make this a very special day, indeed. Enjoy the most relaxing and scenic adventure of the tour. We retire for the night back in Sydney. (B)

Day 9  Rest or catch up on personal enjoyments as this morning is at our leisure. At 1 PM we leave our hotel and visit historical Fortress of Louisbourg, the famous 18th century Fortress. It is beautifully restored with inhabitants dressed in period costume, and it stands today as it did 200 years ago. The whole afternoon is allowed to explore this historical monument thoroughly. After a pleasant historical adventure, we return to our Sydney hotel in the late afternoon. (B)

Day 10  All good things must come to an end! We say good-bye to fellow passengers and take with us our memories of a wonderful Maritimes experience as we travel to the airport for our return flight home. Complimentary airport transfer voucher is included in your tour documents. (B)
