MORAINE LAKE

This is another lake vying for the distinction
of being the most beguiling body of water on planet Earth. It really is hypnotic in its class and color.
Emerald Green and only 12 kilometers from Lake Louise the access road is paved and about a 20 minute drive from the Lake Louise road. Located in the shadows of the Valley of the 10 Peaks you can see the colossal glacial activity as rocks, forestal debris and silt are piled high. A Moraine, after which this lake is named, is a mass or ridge of rocks deposited at the foot or side of a glacier after being carried down or pushed aside by the incredible weight of the glacier.

One of the Rockies most stunning vistas!

THE ICEFIELDS PARKWAY
The main highway between Jasper and Banff is called the Icefields Parkway because of the many glaciers, hugging the mountains (over 100), that can be seen as you drive south . It is a stunning drive with many lakes that are incredible colors of blue and green, seen nowhere else. Drive by a triple continental divide and learn about "Rock Flour". This is possibly the most unforgettable mountain trip you will ever make.

Come see it for yourself!!

Moraine Lake is Peaceful!
Expect a quiet visit as power boats are not allowed on this lake, or most other, lakes in the Rocky Mountains.
