This deluxe tour is a fantastic introduction to the wonders of Eastern Canada
Toronto - Ottawa - Montreal - Quebec City - Trains Depart Toronto Daily

Day 1  We provide accommodation in Toronto, Ontario as our great adventure begins.

Day 2  Depart Toronto for the Niagara Peninsula.  Within its heart is one of the world's natural wonders, Niagara Falls.  We have time to board the "Maid of the Mist" to view both the American and Canadian sides of the falls (optional).  This afternoon we have time to stroll through the parks lining the Niagara River en route to our hotel.  Learn of the many brave souls who have chosen to ride the St. Lawrence River over the falls and learn of the day to falls stopped flowing!  Overnight Toronto.

Day 3  All Aboard VIA Rail's "Via 1" service to Ottawa, Capital of Canada.  Transfers are included (by taxi) to our hotel for a 2 night stay.  Train transportation is by day coach service.

Day 4  This morning we tour lovely Ottawa with a friendly tour guide.  Ottawa lies on the Ottawa River dividing the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.  Queen Victoria herself chose this site and commissioned the lofty spires that adorn Parliament Hill.  At one time it was called "Westminster in the Wilderness".  See the great Parliament Buildings, embassies, Prime Minister's Residence, Rideau Falls and the Canal.   This afternoon is free to explore Canada's Parliament, walk the beautiful parks or explore the national Arts Center.  Overnight Ottawa.

Day 5  A pleasant train journey past oak and ash trees delivers us to Montreal, Quebec.  The city hustles with the color and flair of an international port.  The city receives 4,000 ships per year and is a potpourri of sights and fragrances.  We have time on our own to explore the Chinatown or see the city from river level on a harbor cruise.   Overnight Montreal.

Day 6  Our morning tour introduces us to the second largest French-speaking city in the world.  Old Montreal is fascinating and has seen haggling and trading for 300 years.  Today it is described as "Amsterdam rolled into Paris" in a vibrant new world culture.  See Notre Dame Basilica, Olympic Park, Mount Royal, and the Montreal Harbor on the great St. Lawrence River.  This afternoon we shop for bargains, French Style!  Overnight nearby.

Day 7
Early morning we depart Montreal via deluxe motor coach to Quebec City.  The only walled city in North America, and a Unessco Heritage sight, Quebec has plenty of old world charm.  Enjoy a tour of the city before arriving at our hotel for our two-night stay.

Day 8  Stop for a coffee at a sidewalk cafe and admire Quebecois artist on the streets as  we explore this lovely city.  We can arrange an optional sightseeing tour that includes the Plains of Abraham, where the fate of north America was decided.

Day 9  Tour ends today with checkout from our hotel at 11:00AM or we can choose to extend the tour.
