Day
1 (Tuesdays/Fridays/Sundays)
Our tour starts in Vancouver with our late afternoon departure on VIA
Rail's "Canadian", the most popular and scenic tour in the
west. We follow the Fraser River to the east through the scenic
Fraser Canyon. We settle into our comfortable bedrooms. Dinner
is included this evening (all meals are included on board the train).
Treated like royalty we enjoy a delicious meal while we watch the spectacular
valley and mountain scenery roll by. Retire for bed and fall asleep to the

Day
2 Enjoy
a hearty breakfast on board before we arrive in the "Jewel of the
Rockies", Jasper, Alberta. We bid farewell to passengers who are
continuing on to Edmonton, across the prairies and into Eastern Canada.
Transfer to our hotel in Jasper for overnight. Breathe in the crisp
mountain air and enjoy a soak in the jacuzzi. The world we left behind
seems far away.
Day 3 Our
three-hour morning "Discover Jasper"
tour (may run in the afternoon) will show us some of the scenic highlights. The
rest of the day is free to
explore or hike one of the many nearby trails.
Day 4 Depart on our deluxe motor coach along the world famous Icefields Parkway.
The Columbia Icefields are 125 square miles in size (massive!), with no fewer
than 30 glaciers where 3 river systems flow to three different oceans. On
our drive we'll see waterfalls frozen in time like giant white-blue icicles,
mountain peaks and maybe even a caribou or two. Continue south to Lake
Louise, and nearby Maligne Lake, two of the most beautiful spots on earth, where we will spend the
night.
Day 5 The morning is free to enjoy the winter
wonderland of gorgeous Lake Louise, then board our motorcoach for the short
journey to Banff along the Bow Valley Parkway. Visit the Cave & Basin
National Historic Site, which commemorates the birthplace of Banff National
Park and Canada's National Parks' system. Included in this tour is a visit to
Sulphur Mountain, where you can take a ride to the summit for an amazing view
of the mountains and valleys.
How about climbing a frozen waterfall??
Overnight in comfortable
accommodations in Banff
Day 6
A day to discover Canada's most famous alpine resort. Our tour director furnishes passes to the Whyte Museum and
Banff Park museum, or perhaps you'd enjoy a dip in Banff's famous mineral hot springs
(optional). Overnight once more in Banff.

Day 7
Our tour today
includes a "Dream Catcher Tour" (or tour may consist of 3 hour nature
walk) complete with lunch at Boundary
Ranch. We continue to Calgary, Alberta's second most important city for our last
night.
Day 8
Our tour ends with our checking out from our Cowtown hotel
or we can choose to extend our tour. In fact we can pre-arrange extra
nights in Vancouver, Lake Louise or Banff.
