Arrive Vancouver
Welcome to Vancouver! A complimentary
transfer is provided to your hotel. Our Tour Director is at the
hotel this afternoon to greet you and answer your questions. Join us at
6:00pm for a Welcome Reception at the hotel. (Welcome

Day 2 -
Vancouver Straits of Georgia to Victoria (2 nights)
Our tour of Vancouver takes us to Stanley Park, where we view the famous
totem poles and learn about their significance to the aboriginal
community. On to beautiful English Bay, Chinatown - North America's second
largest Chinatown after San Francisco, and historic Gastown with its
charming cobbled streets, historic buildings, courtyards and mews. We then
cross the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island and the quaint and very
"British" city of Victoria for a two-night stay. Our orientation
tour of Victoria introduces us to Bastion Square, the Inner Harbour and
the ornate Parliament Buildings. This evening, dinner is served at a local

Day 3 - Victoria sightseeing
& at leisure
We start the day with breakfast served in the flower-filled conservatory
of the Blue Poppy Restaurant at the world-famous Butchart
Gardens. We are joined by one of the resident horticulturists and
learn about the garden's history and the flower species in season at the
time of our visit. Later, we explore this 55-acre showcase of
extraordinary floral displays, strolling along the meandering paths of the
Sunken, Italian, Japanese and Rose Gardens. The rest of the day is at
leisure in Victoria. Perhaps join an optional sea excursion in search of
killer whales, a flight-seeing by seaplane over the rugged coastline, or
experience the magic of Old Chinatown on a cultural walking adventure,
complete with delicious Chinese banquet. Your Tour Director will be happy

Day 4 - Victoria Whistler
We travel north to Chemainus, a quaint seaside town known for its murals
depicting the area's history. Back across the Strait of Georgia for our
journey along the famous Sea-to-Sky Highway with wonderful ocean and
mountain vistas. We stop at 337-meters Shannon Falls before arriving at
Whistler where we are taken on a walking tour of the village by a local
expert and learn about Whistler's history, winter sports in Canada, and
Whistler as a 2010 Olympic venue. (Full Breakfast) Hotel:

Day 5 - Whistler Kamloops
Climbing over the Coast Mountains, we journey along the picturesque Duffy
Lake Road, often referred to as "one of the best drives in
Canada." We then descend into the great Fraser River Canyon and cross
the wonderful semi-arid landscape of BC's interior to arrive at the
logging town of Kamloops. After dinner at a local restaurant, we are taken
on an exclusive, after-hours guided visit to the Secwepemc Museum, and
learn about the First Nations peoples of Canada. We then join an
Aboriginal guide for a tour of Heritage Park and enjoy demonstrations of
native dances and storytelling. (Full Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 6 - Kamloops Canadian
Rocky Mountain Parks Banff (2 nights)
Today we head for the great Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks. Weather
permitting, we enjoy a walk through Giant Cedars, a beautiful temperate
rainforest, before climbing over stunning Rogers Pass inside Glacier
National Park. We then cross the Columbia River and enter Yoho National
Park, where we view the Natural Bridge and Spiral Tunnels. Crossing the
Continental Divide, we enter Banff National Park,
Canada's oldest national park. We arrive at the quintessential alpine
resort of Banff our home for the next two nights. Hotel: Delta

Day 7 - Banff sightseeing
& at leisure
Our sightseeing tour of Banff
features the classic viewpoint of Surprise Corner along Tunnel
Mountain Drive, Bow Falls and the wind-shaped rock formations known as
hoodoos overlooking Bow Valley. We then board the Banff Gondola for a
thrilling ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain.
Experience a bird's eye view of six mountain ranges from the upper gondola
terminal. The afternoon is at leisure. Why not enjoy an optional float
trip on the Bow River, a helicopter flight-seeing tour over the Rockies,
or a bit of Canadian fun at an excellent dinner theatre show (Full
Breakfast)
Day 8 - Banff Lake Louise
Icefields Parkway Jasper National Park
This morning, we are taken on an interpretive walk along the shores of Lake
Louise and learn about the wildlife, nature and history of the area.
Soak in the spectacular landscape combining azure glacial waters with deep
green forests, jagged snow-capped peaks and the mighty Victoria Glacier.
We then head north along the stunning Icefields Parkway, driving beneath
the snow-capped peaks, thundering waterfalls and glistening glaciers
lining the road. Keep an eye out for wildlife including elk, black bears
and mountain goats. Take the trip of a lifetime aboard an Ice Explorer and
journey onto the massive Athabasca
Glacier. We end the day in the heart of Jasper National Park. After
dinner tonight, learn about Rocky Mountain wildlife at a fun and
informative presentation by a local expert. (Full Breakfast /

Day 9 - Jasper National Park

This morning enjoy an interpretive walk at Maligne
Canyon, one of the most beautiful gorges in the Rockies. Learn about
the underground river system as we wander along the canyon's trail, past
beautiful waterfalls and spectacular rock formations. Later, bid farewell
to your Tour Director as you settle in your private Silver & Blue
compartment with en suite facilities aboard The Canadian, one of the
world's greatest trains. Start your journey aboard The Canadian by
crossing the splendid mountain landscapes of the Canadian Rockies. (Full
Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Days 10 and 11 Onboard The Canadian
Enjoy the trains comfortable amenities, superb meals, and impeccable
service. See prairies stretching to the horizon and cross forests studded
with sparkling lakes. Discover the unique pleasures of rail travel by
moonlight as the gentle rocking of the train lulls you to sleep. (Full

Day 12 - The Canadian Toronto
(2 nights hotel)
Your rail adventure continues, as you pass shimmering lakes and forests,
which in autumn are ablaze in orange, yellow and red. Arrive
in Toronto where you are met and transferred to your hotel. (Full

Day 13 - Niagara Falls

Have your cameras ready as you travel to one of the world's great natural
wonders, Niagara Falls. Enjoy close-up views of the falls on the Maid of
the Mist cruise. Visit the quaint township of Niagara-on-the-Lake and stop
at a local winery for barrel tasting before returning to Toronto. (Full
Breakfast)
Day 14 - Depart Toronto
Your Trans-Canadian Adventure comes to an end with a complimentary
transfer to Toronto International Airport. (Full Breakfast)
