Vancouver - Jasper -  Icefields Parkway - Lake Louise - Banff 

DAY 1   'VIA Rail' to Jasper
Your vacation begins with an evening departure from Vancouver on VIA Rail's Silver & Blue service, bound for Jasper.   We include private bedroom, porter assistance, full access to the dome cars and gourment meals are included in the dining car.  

DAY 2   Travel through 5 mountain ranges and past Mount Robson, largest in the south and arrive in Jasper to begin a two night stay.  Transfer to our Jasper hotel.  The evening is yours to explore the sights and shops of this stunning alpine resort town.  

DAY 3  Jasper  Depart on a tour of Jasper with the Maligne Lake Coach & Cruise Guided Excursion (seasonal*).  Also visit Pyramid Lake on the Pyramid Shelf.  Learn about local WW2 history at Patricial Lake and have time to walk through Maligne Canyon to see the incredible natural beauty that mother nature has created.  Overnight Jasper

DAY 4  Banff/ Lake Louise  Journey the amazing Icefields Parkway bound for Lake Louise.  Enroute you'll visit the stunning baby-blue Peyto Lake, Athabasca Falls and enjoy an Ice Explorer ride (included, seasonal*) onto Athabasca Glacier, one of the glaciers of the massive Columbia Icefields.  While on the glacier you will be standing on 1,000 feet of ice.  Overnight Banff Alberta, or we can arrange overnight at Chateau Lake Louise

DAY 5  Banff   Enjoy a free morning in Lake Louise. This afternoon, you will join an excursion to Emerald Lake and Yoho Valley, stand beneath Takakkaw Falls (highest in Western Canada), Natural Bridge and more (seaonal*) before arriving in Banff for overnight(s).

DAY 6  Banff   Take time to discover Banff on a morning excursion to the Cave & Basin National Historic Site. See Bow Falls, the Hoodoos before a final stop at  the Banff Gondola for a ride up to the top of Sulphur Mountain. The rest of the day is yours to explore this famous mountain resort.

DAY 7  Calgary   The choice is yours ... an afternoon or evening transfer to Calgary International Airport or downtown Calgary to conclude your Lakes & Mountains vacation.

We can add additional nights/sightseeing in Vancouver and the Rocky Mountains

This vacation is available in reverse, departing from Calgary. Additional nights are available in Calgary and/or Vancouver. *When day tours or attractions are not operational in the off-season, the price will be adjusted or there will an alternative excursion/attraction made available.

We include:   Via Rail Trans-Canada train journey including private bedroom (all meals are included aboard the train but not on motor coach tours or in hotels), tourist-class or superior hotels across Canada, motor coach tours as per itinerary,  GST tax is additional.  Checked baggage is not available on the train, smaller overnight bag is recommended.
