Day 1 Check into one of our downtown Vancouver hotels.
Day 2
Our
incredible train journey begins! Transfer
to Pacific Central Station (near downtown) for our departure. All aboard
the train, bound for Eastern Canada. Our first class rail cars are
refurbished to the "VIA Rail Transcontinental"
1950's genre in Art Deco. The observation dome
offers unequalled views as we roll across 5 mountain ranges and into
Alberta. The private bedrooms are comfortable and all meals are
included (Checked baggage while on the train, smaller overnight
bag is recommended on the train). Be sure to visit the Bullet Lounge
in the Park Car
for a nightcap.

Day 3
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and relax as we forge across the Rocky
Mountains into the "Jewel of the Canadian
Rockies" Jasper, Alberta. Disembark and we are transferred to
our hotel. Keep on the lookout for wild
animals often seen in and around the town. 
Day 4
This
morning we tour JASPER
and, above the townsite, beautiful PYRAMID
LAKE. Perhaps take an optional
cruise of magnificent MALIGNE
LAKE and its incredible aquamarine waters.
The views are stunning and the water is a shade of blue found only in
these mountains. Spirit Island is a famous spot for
photographers seeking the perfect picture. Return to Jasper via the
Valley of the FIVE
LAKES. Overnight

Day 5
Depart
Jasper for Banff on our deluxe motor coach along the Icefields
Parkway. This is one of the most scenic drives on earth. We'll
ride a Sno-Coach (weather permitting) onto the Columbia Icefield's ATHABASCA
GLACIER.
The Columbia Icefields are 125 square miles in size (massive!), with no
fewer than 30 glaciers where 3 river systems flow to three different
oceans. The Icefields Parkway delivers us
past

south to
LAKE
LOUISE,
one of the most enchanting spots on earth. We see the reflections of
the mountains in her aqua blue waters and we'll find out how rock flour
helps the water retain its mesmerizing color. Continue further into BANFF

majestic town

BANFF.

6 Enjoy a motor coach
tour of Banff including a BANFF
GONDOLA
ride to the summit of Sulfur Mountain with great eagle-eye views of the
Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow Valley in all directions. Checkout
the easy board walk to the weather station for more amazing vistas. Overnight
at one of our Banff

Day 7
Tour today includes mountains,
lakes and waterfalls. Depart Banff on
our motor coach and travel the beautiful Bow Valley Expressway to JOHNSTON
CANYON where you are given time for a short nature
walk. We continue to beautiful MORAINE
LAKE to see its mystical
green waters and then visit LAKE
LOUISE. Visitors come from all over
the World to stand before the lake. After lunch at Lake Louise
(lunch not included in fare), cross the Great Divide and enter Yoho
National Park. You’ll visit Yoho’s scenic highlights such as tumbling
Takakkaw Falls, Emerald Lake and the Natural Rock Bridge before returning
to BANFF
TOWN in the late afternoon. What a great day! Overnight

Day 8
You have a day to enjoy the amazing beauty of the area.
Perhaps hike the Vermilion Lakes, rent a canoe on the Bow River, go
horeseback riding or take a float trip or whitewater rafting trip.
The adventurous can take a helicopter ride over the majestic
Rockies. O/N Banff
Day 9
Enjoy the last day in scenic Banff by shopping for Ammolite, a precious
gem derived from prehistoric fossils found only in Alberta. Very
rare very beautiful. The dining is world-class and we can soak up
the curative waters of Banff Upper Hotsprings. Perhaps take a cruise
onto LAKE
MINNEWANKA The
VERMILION
LAKES are
nearby and well worth a visit. Overnight at one of our Banff

Day 10
Board our motor coach for the trip once more along one of the World's
great drives and arrive in Jasper in the afternoon. Bring lots of
film as the sights are breathtaking. You have time for souvenir
shopping and fine dining. Overnight in beautiful alpine Jasper.
Day 11
We have a free day in Jasper to shop, dine and breathe in the fresh mountain
air. Day tours can be arranged from the hotel or perhaps rent a car
and drive up to Pyramid Lake or a
few miles to the south of
Jasper to the JASPER
GONDOLA from where the views of the valleys and
peaks are outstanding. ATHABASCA
FALLS / HORSESHOE
LAKE are quite nearby. Overnight

Day 12
Board VIA Rail trans-continental mid- afternoon. The great peaks of
the Rockies give way to foothills and then rolling prairies as we cross the
great prairies. Enter the province of Saskatchewan, the
breadbasket of Canada. 
Day
13 Roll across the
prairies, watch the scenery roll by from the panoramic setting of the dome
cars, and arrive into Winnipeg. Continue for your second night aboard
as you continue into Ontario 
Day
14
Our epic journey continues.
The bullet car is a great meeting place for conversation and the meals
on-board are fabulous. Fall asleep this evening to the gentle rocking
of the train. Ride the rails across track laid over the hardest
rock on earth as we roll through northern Ontario. 
Day 15 Arrive
this morning into Toronto, Ontario. Transfer to our hotel with the
rest of the day free. This evening you might want to visit one
of the tallest free standing structures on Earth, the CN Tower. Be
sure to ride the elevators to the second platform.

Day 16 Two Choices today.
Depart for NIAGARA
FALLS including an exciting "Maid of the
Mist" cruise for a close up look at the falls (subject to favorable
weather). Alternatively you may choose to spend time exploring
Toronto's many shopping, attractions and museums. An optional
dinner in the World's tallest free standing structure, the CN Tower is a
great idea for the evening. Overnight Toronto
